Join us on Saturday, July 23, 2022 for the Hometown Hero’s Ride, starting and ending at Adamec Harley-Davidson of St. Augustine.
Registration: 8:30am-10:00am | Kick Stands Up @ 10:30am
The fundraiser is honoring retired JSO Officer Lonnie Mills. Injured on the job in March of 2022, he was paralyzed from the waist down. One of Mills’ best friends, Mike Minter, has helped organize the First Annual police-escorted Hometown Hero’s Ride.
The event will benefit Builders Care to fund the construction needs of local first responders and military vets. Like Mills, many first responders and military vets who are injured either on or off the job need mobility assistance in the form of wheelchair ramps and other construction needs. Since 2001, Builders Care has been filling those needs for the elderly, disabled, and other nonprofits in the area. Builders Care is a faith-based nonprofit arm of Northeast Florida Builder’s Association (NEFBA)
Food trucks, vendors, live music, and raffles will also be on-site.
Cost: $25 per bike. The first 300 registered bikes include a ride t-shirt. Please note: no autocycles allowed such as Slingshots and T-REX.##
