The Spud Run 5K has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2020. It was originally scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2020. We really want to give everyone a chance to get back to racing. There have been some changes to the event to increase the safety of participants, our volunteers, and staff.
We are going to run the 5K with a time trial start, with 30 seconds between runners. 25-30 runners maximum will start in each 15 minute time range, which allows us to maintain distance between each other.
Registrants must select their start time range. This will allow us to limit the amount of people at the venue, at the start, and on course. The race will be scored by time trial start, net time.
The first start time is at 6:30 AM | the last start time is at 10:30 AM.
We’ve also changee the race venue and course to allow us to start/run people throughout the day on a closed course. The race will be run at the Ascot Shooting Club, 447 E Cracker Swamp Road, East Palatka, FL 32131.
The 5K will be run on a dirt road/cross country style course to accommodate the time trial starts.
The Spud Run is a member of the Run St. Augustine Race Series. The race will be professionally timed and scored by RaceSmith, Inc.
