Calling all history buffs.  Come check out The School of the 16th Century on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 10:00am-5:00pm at the Oldest House Museum.

This event is designed to show/teach you everything you would want to know about the 16th Century (1513-1586).  Historic Weapons * Artillery * Armor – Equipment and Accessories * Clothing * Crafts – Culinary Arts * Religious Practices * Camp Life.

Learn about military drills and how to fire a crossbow or musket … or even a cannon.  Watch demonstrations about clothing, cooking and other skills that were used during that timeframe.

Demonstrations from 10:00am-5:00pm.  There is even an encampment that is open to the public.

Presented by the Men of Menéndez Living History Interpreters and St. Augustine Historical Society.
