Florida National Guard hosts the 16th annual Parade & Ceremony commemorating the end of the 2nd Seminole War and those who perished.

When: Saturday, August 12, 2023 — 9:00am-2:00pm

9:00am — Registration begins for participants at the St. Francis Officers Club at 82 Marine Street; $25.00.  Coffee included, followed by remarks from the Florida National Guard’s historians.  Contact stevenrick@gmail.com

10:45am — Free and Open to Public – Parade & CeremonyHistorians march on Marine Street to the National Cementery where commemoration ceremony will take place at the pyramids and Dade Monument.

12:00pm-2:00pm — Lunch, a coin presentation, and an afternoon program highlighting the Treaty of Moultrie Creek that established the Seminole Reservation over 200 years ago and laid the groundwork for events leading to the 2nd Seminole War.
