Save the date for the Beaux Arts Ball – Friday, February 23, 2024 at 6:00pm!  Join the St. Augustine Art Association at the Lightner Museum in celebrating their 100th Anniversary!

The Beaux Arts Ball is a nod to how STAAA would fundraise in the 1940s and into the future.  With the help of affluent artistic families, the St. Augustine Art Association was able to form a more formal organization but needed its’ own space.  So … they put on the Beaux Arts Ball in what was then the Alcazar Hotel (now the Lightner Museum).  It was generously hosted for years by Otto Lightner himself.  The first ball was epitomized beautifully in a 1949 painting by artist Louise Shanks.

Wear your best masquerade ball attire!  This evening of celebration includes dinner by the Chef’s Garden, dancing, …. and, of course, fine art!  (Live painting and auction.)  Bid on paintings completed during the ball by the following artists: Martha Ferguson, Brandon Santiago, and Gail Beveridge.

Enter through the Radzinski Family Garden at the back of the museum.

Tickets: $150.00 per person | $1200.00 per table
