Alligator Farm Camps

About: This summer, send your kids to one of the several week long wildlife camps at the Alligator Farm! The theme of each camp varies, but each child will spend their days viewing animal presentations, shows, taking zoo tours, chatting with the zookeepers, playing games, arts and crafts, and much more! This year, camp themes are as follows: Camp Investi-gator, Wildlife Explorers, Ickology, Camp Build-It, Zooper Heroes (best of 2019), Art Zoofari, Camp Catch ‘Em All, Sharks and Minnows: Just Keep Swimming, Fossils Feathers and Fangs, A week in the life of a Zookeeper

Anastasia Watersports Camp

About: Looking for a summer adventure for children who love the water and wildlife? Anastasia Watersports Summer Camp introduces campers to the basics of kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and sailing with a variety of native fish, birds and mammals to discover above and below the water. Hikes through the salt marsh and beach introduce campers to the amazing bio-diversity within Anastasia State Park. There are crafts, scavenger hunts, fun-filled water games and a different aquatic activity every day. Campers will learn basic paddling skills, developing a strong foundation and confidence to navigate the Salt Run waterway. Children will also develop an appreciation for the complex ecology of our oceans, estuaries and tidal marshes.

Art Association Summer Camps

About: The St. Augustine Art Association is hosting several week-long art camps during the month of June for grades 1-6. During the camp, children will explore painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media projects inspired by master artists. The sessions are taught by certified professional artist-instructors. Each week has a different theme.

Bo Clark Basketball Summer Camp

About: Bo Clark, the former head coach of the Flagler College’s Men’s Basketball Program, is hosting two weeks of Basketball Day Camp. The clinic is designed to improve basketball skills such as points in shooting, ball handling, passing, defense, and game play. Camp includes a free camp t-shirt. The program is intended for boys and girls ages 5 to 16 years.

Cultural Center Camps at Ponte Vedra Beach

About: The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach is hosting multiple camps this summer and each is designed with different ages and artistic levels in mind. There are two theater camps for older children and three art-based camps for younger children. Each camp emphasizes education and leads children through a variety of art mediums.

Fort Matanzas and Castillo de San Marcos: Hands-On History & Nature Camps

Time: Monday through Friday; 9 am to 1 pm
Location: Fort Matanzas/Castillo de San Marcos

About: Is your child interested in learning about the history and nature around them? Fort Matanzas and the Castillo de San Marcos are each hosting camps where the main focus will be hands-on history lessons and learning about nature. The camp will cover topics such as archaeology, Native Americans, nature, Spanish exploration, colonial Florida, and Spanish military. Campers can also expect activities based around pottery, leatherwork, textiles and more!

GTM Research Reserve Camp

Date: Weeks throughout June and July
Time: Monday through Friday; 8 am to 5 pm
Location: GTM Research Reserve

About: Children will investigate the ins and outs of the ever-changing habitats and experience the rich biodiversity within. Additionally, children will partake in scientific monitoring and stewardship activities very similar to the programs GTM biologists conduct on site. Campers can choose the following camps: Estuary Week, Forest Week, Ocean Week, STEAM camp, and Conservation Camp for ages 13-15.

Jacksonville Jaguars Summer Camp

About: Join Marcus Pollard, a host of expert coaches, and Jaguars alumni for a day of summer camp – Jaguars style! Children will spend time on football fundamentals, speed and agility training USA Football Heads Up Shoulder Tackling Certification. Registration includes: reversible jersey, Jaguars dry fit t shirt, Jaguars arm sleeve, draw string backpack, group photo with alumni players.

Lighthouse Summer Camps

About: Join the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum this summer to explore maritime history, coastal ecosystems, and learn new skills. Students who have completed kindergarten through fourth grade may attend any of the available five weeks of camp.

Middle School Students

About: This year, the Lighthouse’s summer camp is all about the Coastal Community. Camp and lessons are geared around learning how St. Augustine’s people have been tied to the ocean for over 450 years. Children can look forward to interactive activities on water and land, practicing their boat building skills, fishing, and field trips such as an eco-tour by kayak and a trip to see modern shrimping and boating operations.

Limelight Theatre Camps

About: Each spring and summer, Limelight Theatre hosts several camps for children of all ages. During camp, children work together and learn about just what it takes to present a musical as well as the dynamics of onstage and offstage theatre work. At the end of camp, parents are invited to watch their children perform the musical they’ve been working so hard on throughout camp. This year the summer musicals are as follows: Beauty and the Beast, Legally Blonde, Aladdin, Minion Mania, Trolls, and Spongebob Summer Fun.

Limelight Theatre Summer Camp

Pit Surf Summer Camp

Date: Weeks in May, June, July, and August
Time: Monday through Thursday; 9:30 am to 12:20 pm
Location: St. Augustine Beach

About: The Pit Surf Shop is hosting a summer surf camp for boys and girls of all experience levels. Campers can learn from experienced, CPR-certified instructors in a safe and fun environment. Kids will learn about waves, boards, surf etiquette and more; with a 4 to 1 student to instructor ratio. The camp provides surfboards, healthy snacks, drinks, a free bag of swag with items from different companies and of course a Pit Surf shirt. Furthermore, once children have completed a week of surf camp, they can return, for a small fee, each Saturday for Surf Camp Alumni. Campers part of the Surf Camp Alumni reunite with campers and instructors during a self-guided surf day to practice their new set of skills!

Pit Surf Summer Camp

Sail Camp – SA Yacht Club

Date: Weeks in May, June, July, and August
Time: Monday through Thursday; 9 am to 3 pm
Location: St. Augustine Yacht Club

About: Sail through summer during St. Augustine Yacht Club’s summer sail camp! Children between the ages of 8 and 15 are invited to learn the ins and outs of sailing. There are beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels available. Participants in the beginner level will first use an opti simulator before getting on the water; once they’re comfortable, they will start lessons with an opti. Participants in the advanced level will sail with a 420. Lessons are taught by US Sailing Certified Instructors and the teacher to student ration is 1:3. Children will learn about the ropes and knot tying as well as do some swimming. At the end of each week, a mini regatta!

Note: Early drop-off and late pick-up is available.

Sail Camp

Shamrock Summer Camp

About: Shamrock Summer Camp is offering several summer camps this year where campers can spend the day on campus or spend a half day on campus. The camp’s agenda is geared towards teaching athletes to maneuver a soccer ball as well as other skills that are important to have on the field. Its a great place for soccer players looking to improve their skills, have fun, and make friends.

St. Johns County Jr. Lifeguard Camp

Date: five day sessions throughout June
Time: 9 am to 1 pm
Location: the Marine Rescue Office

About: The St. Johns County Junior Lifeguard Program is a co-ed program for ages 9 to 17 years with a staff comprised of certified ocean rescue lifeguards. The program’s focus is to provide water safety education, build teamwork, as well as work on physical conditioning. This program includes the uniform, First Aid lessons (including CPR certification), lifeguard rescue skills, body boarding and surfing, lifeguard competitions, special events as well as a weekly cookout and awards celebration. Participants are required to pass a swim test prior to registration which includes a 100-yard continuous swim, 5-minute deep water tread, and 10-yard underwater swim.

St. Johns County Junior Lifeguard Camp

St. Johns County Park & Rec Camp

Date: June 3 through July 19
Time: Monday through Friday; 7:30 am to 5:30 pm

Registration for this camp is held March 2-13, 2020; the drawing is on March 23; results mailed by April 6.

About: Parents can sign up children ages 5-12 (only five-year-olds that have completed kindergarten by the start of camp are eligible) for our summer camp, which will be held at six locations around St. Johns County. Camps emphasize outdoor activities and are staffed by experienced, motivated leaders from within our community. Campers get to participate in a variety of activities including field trips, arts + crafts, and swimming.

Surf School Camp

About: Are your kids interested in learning how to surf? St. Augustine Surf School is offering surf camp at St. Augustine Beach this summer. With a 3:1 student to teacher ratio, each child experiences personalized coaching. All camps are coed and open for ages 7 to 16 years. Half day camp runs Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm, full day camp runs until 3:00 pm. Includes a t-shirt, use of a surfboard, healthy snacks, water, games/activities, prizes, surf contest.

Whitney Lab Summer Camps

Sea Turtle Camp

About: Sign your kids up for a week at Sea Turtle Camp which is all about sea turtles and their conservation! This camp is designed for students entering 4th and 5th grade in Fall. They will partake in a sea turtle hospital tour, presentations, field and lab activities. Camp fee includes a hospital tour, instructions, presentations, field and lab activities, a daily snack, a Whitney Lab hospital t-shirt and a reusable water bottle.

Marine Biology Camp

Location: Whitney Lab

About: Students entering into 5th, 6th, and 6th grades in fall are invited to spend the week at Whitney Lab exploring the biological diversity of the Matanzas River Basin. Camp fee includes a lab tour, instruction, presentations, field and lab activities, a kayak trip, daily snack, and a Whitney Lab Sea Turtle Hospital t-shirt.
