The 500th Anniversary of the birth of Don Pedro Menenedez de Aviles will be noted with a brief Wreath Laying Ceremony. The event will take place at 10:00am at the base of his statue in front of City Hall. The public is invited to attend!  The ceremony will include remarks by St. Augustine Mayor Nancy Shaver and Consulate General of Spain in Miami Cándido Creis. Birthday cake and coffee will be available in The Alcazar Room following the ceremony.
