Words and Music Series with Backintyme

Join us at The Waterworks on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 when EMMA Concert Association presents Words and Music Series with Backintyme — 1:00pm-2:00pm.  Free of charge and family-friendly.

Backintyme dons period dress to perform stories and songs from the 19th Century making history come alive. Each performance piece consists of an anedote drawn from a piece of historical research, interwoven with a related song of the time. The stories tell what folk did and thought back then — their acts and ideas. They form the source of our knowledge of the past. The songs reveal what they felt — their emotions. They weave the fabric of our understanding.

The Words and Music Series is an exploration of cultural connections through song, story and dance.
