In an effort to help flatten the curve and do our part in slowing the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19, Uptown Saturday will be postponed until we have the all clear by community and state leaders. While this has impacted our community, tourism, schools, small business owners, we want our community to be safe and healthy.
Stand strong. Refrain from gathering in large groups, things will improve, but we have to stick together to help slow the spread and give the medical community the support they need.
What can you do? Support small business. Order food to go – many of our restaurants are offering take out, curb-side pickup and home delivery. Call your favorite small business and see if there are gift certificates or online purchase options to help them in this dire time.
On the last Saturday of the month, come explore and enjoy the unique shops and galleries of “Uptown” St. Augustine during Uptown Saturday. The event combines a festive party atmosphere with hospitality and special deals with many shops remaining open until 9:00pm. Musical entertainment, as well as light refreshments, can also be found at some locations.
This unique 5-block area of locally-owned boutiques, antique shops, galleries and restaurants is situated along San Marco Avenue between Ripley’s Museum and the Mission of Nombre de Dios.
The event is sponsored by the San Marco Avenue Merchants Association.
