The National Park Service regrets to announce that the Fort Matanzas Torchlight Tour has been cancelled. Due to damage to the dock system during Hurricane Dorian, the ferry system at Fort Matanzas is currently out of service.

During the Torchlight Tours at Fort Matanzas, explore the Fort by torch and lantern light and step back to the year 1743. Listen to and talk with the Spanish soldiers stationed at this fortified watchtower to defend the southern approach to St. Augustine. Experience a nighttime cannon firing as part of the evening.  Each tour starts with a ferry ride to Fort Matanzas.

Tours for this special ticketed event will depart from the Fort Matanzas Center Visitor Center Dock at: 6:00pm, 6:45pm, 7:30pm, and 8:15pm.  All reservation holders must check in at the Fort Matanzas Visitor Center 30 minutes prior to their reserved tour time to receive a ferry ticket.

Separate fee applies: $15 Adults 16 and over, $5 Children 5-15, Free Children under 5.

Due to limited space, advance tickets are required. Tickets go on sale two weeks prior to event. Reserve your tickets in advance by calling 904-829-6506 ext. 239 or stop by the Castillo de San Marco ticket booth.
