Erin Kendrick – The Hotelsmen Exhibition

Crisp-Ellert Art Musuem Artist Residency alumna Erin Kendrick will exhibit a new body of work November 4 – December 2, 2022.  The artwork reflects her recent research into the connections between the Negro Baseball League’s Cuban Giants who played in St. Augustine in the late 1920s and staff at the Hotel Ponce de Leon (built in 1888, now the centerpiece of Flagler College).

Kendrick’s work has been included in solo and group exhibitions at several venues.  They include:  Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, Jacksonville; Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Museum, Port Elizabeth, South Africa; New Orleans African American Museum; and the Ritz Theater and Museum, Jacksonville, among others.  She maintains a studio at CoRK Arts District in Jacksonville, Florida.

Opening Reception & Walkthrough — Friday, November 4, 2022 — 5:00pm-8:00pm.
