Save the dates (February 15-17, 2019) for the St. Augustine Spanish Wine Festival, this year celebrating the 500th birthday of Pedro Menendez, St. Augustine’s founder. The mission of the festival is to connect St. Augustine to our city’s Spanish history through a series of special events that feature Spanish wine, cuisine and culture.
Schedule of Events
Friday, February 15, 2019 — 6:00pm-10:00pm — Cava Reception & Dinner in the Flagler College Solarium: experience an elegant evening featuring a Spanish-inspired dinner with each course paired with a fine Spanish wine. Guests will also enjoy live Spanish music.
Saturday, February 16, 2019 — 4:00pm-7:00pm — Wine and Dine at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Front Porch: American food truck cuisine meets with Spanish wine for quite the pairing. During the event, Ramona will be performing onstage! Admission is free; food will be available for purchase and tickets can be purchased for glass/bottle of Spanish wine.
Sunday, February 17, 2019 — 2:00pm-5:00pm — Grand Tasting at the COA River House: the festival concludes with this event and features more than 100 Spanish wines along with Spanish-inspired hors d’oeuvres.
Charities benefiting from the event are Flagler College’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Program, St. Johns County Council on Aging and SAiRA Foundation.
