St. Augustine Orchestra Season Opening Concert
The award-winning St. Augustine Orchestra opens its 58th season celebrating the melodious sounds of brass and woodwind instruments with classic pieces from the mid-1800s to a contemporary concerto for tuba written by a distinguished, Emmy Award-winning composer.
The Masterworks Concert: Brahms, Schubert & Friends will include Johannes Brahms’ lively Academic Festival; Franz Schubert’s ‘unfinished’ Symphony No. 8; Johann Nepomuk Hummel’s Trumpet Concerto and Bruce Broughton’s Tuba Concerto. It showcases the excellent wind instrument players in the Orchestra.
