The St. Augustine Memorial Day Observance will take place at Anastasia Baptist Church this year.  The event is open to the public with plenty of free parking.

Date / Time:  Monday, May 31, 2021 from 10:00am-11:00am. Doors open 9:00am.

CW4 Don Kabrich will deliver the invocation and Gretchen Mitchell will sing the National Anthem.

Guest speaker will be Alison Simpson, FLANG Command Historian.  The colors will be carried by cadets from the St. Augustine Sea Cadet Battalion.

At the conclusion of the program, the VFW Firing Team will fire 3 volleys followed by the playing of TAPS by Sgt. John Donlon.

Several elected officials will be in attendance including Congressman John Rutherford, State Rep. Paul Renner, Sheriff Rob Hardwick, and Commissioner Jeremiah Blocker.

The Memorial Day Service is presented this year by the local MOAA, ACC chapter under the leadership of LCol. Ron Birchall, USA ret. Past President of MOAA,ACC and Bill Dudley, Chairman of the Veterans Council of St. Johns County.
