Science Off Tap: Mangroves on the Move

The Sunshine State is experiencing many environmental challenges, but how will these changes affect the future?  Grab your favorite local brew and join the Florida Museum and UF Thompson Earth Systems Institute for an engaging VIRTUAL conversation about mangroves with experts in the field as part of the series “Changes on the Horizon.”

In this upcoming seminar, “Mangroves on the Move,” speaker Julie Walker will be discussing her mangrove research that’s largely based in St. Augustine. A marine conservation fellow at UF’s Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience, she will talk about the plant’s movement along Florida coastlines due to climate change.
