Join us at The Waterworks for Mothers and Sons, presented by A Classic Theatre.  A Tony nominee for Best Play, Mothers and Sons is about change, reconciliation and what it means to be a family.  An engaging modern play, weaving funny dialogue with themes both provocative and heartfelt.

At turns witty and powerful, it portrays a woman who pays an unexpected visit to the New York apartment of her late son’s partner, who is now married to another man and has a young son. Challenged to face how society has changed around her, generations collide as she revisits the past and begins to see the life her son might have led.

Eloquent and moving, Terrence McNally’s play explores the very essence of family and forgiveness in a changing society.  Mothers and Sons is a story rooted in optimism.
