Military Veteran Fishing

A free Military Veteran Fishing class is being offered to all active military and veterans on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Time/Location: 9:00am-11:00am | Helen Mellon Schmidt Park

During “Nets and Traps” learn about all the various nets and traps you can use for fishing. Class consists of hands-on activities as well as an opportunity to go fishing.

Please bring your own equipment if possible. Gear is available if needed.

Participants must possess a valid shoreline saltwater fishing license or fall under the exempt criteria determined by FWC.  Click for license information.

Designed in partnership with the VA to provide an opportunity for military veterans to gain skills and knowledge about fishing.
