Military Veteran Fishing

A free Military Veteran Fishing class is being offered on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 to all active military and veterans.

Time/Location: 9:00am-11:00am | Vaill Point Pavilion

“How to Throw a Cast Net” will focus on the basics of throwing a cast net. Class consists of hands-on activities as well as an opportunity to go fishing.

Please bring your own equipment if possible. Gear is available if needed.

Participants must possess a valid shoreline saltwater fishing license or fall under the exempt criteria determined by FWC.  Click for license information.

Designed in partnership with the VA to provide an opportunity for military veterans to gain skills and knowledge about fishing.
