Luminary Night is an annual tradition hosted by the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum as part of St. Augustine’s Night of Lights celebration. The Lighthouse grounds will open for an evening celebration for all ages. There will be children’s activities and holiday crafts, yuletide refreshments and live music. Musicians will perform inside the Lighthouse tower and more holiday music is presented on the grounds by local choirs and youth groups.
Guests will have the opportunity to view the Lighthouse’s holiday style, including decorations and lighting displays. The Christmas tree in the Keepers’ House is decorated in nautical ornaments donated by people all over the country. This tree is one of 14 other decorated trees across the property. For a special treat, guests can climb the Lighthouse tower for a spectacular view of St. Augustine’s Night of Lights from the top.
This event is free and open to the public with a suggested donation of a non-perishable food item to be donated to a local food pantry. Holiday-themed refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the evening. All monetary proceeds go directly back to the Museum to continue the work of the Museum’s mission.
