Living the Coastal Landscape Art Exhibition

Mary Hubley introduces “Living the Coastal Landscape”, her solo art exhibition on display March 19-May 23, 2019 at the St. Johns County Florida Administration Building Rotunda. The art show features 30 of Hubley’s large coastal landscape and still life paintings.  Mary’s paintings are warm and impressionistic, showcasing the exquisite coastal landscape. Her brushstrokes are soft and loose style with a modern impressionist style.

Hubley is an internationally-recognized artist, although she calls St. Augustine home. She spent many years doing corporate art and book illustration. She won first place in a Smithsonian Institution exhibit and an award of excellence with the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society (NOAPS). She was spotlighted in two Best of America Artist books, three Richeson75 art books, and American Art Collector magazine. She gives regular painting workshops and sells her work through prominent U.S. art galleries.

The Opening Reception for the exhibit will be on March 19 from 8:15am-9:00am in the Rotunda area of the St. Johns County Administration Building prior to the regularly scheduled St. Johns County Commission meeting. The reception is open to the public to meet the artist, ask questions about her art, and view the exhibit.

This exhibition is sponsored by St. Johns County and the St. Johns Cultural Council and funded in part by the Florida Department of State Division of Cultural Affairs.
