Join GTM Research Reserve and St Johns County Parks and Recreation for the Living Sustainably Lecture Series. This series focuses on Northeast Florida’s conservation efforts, plants, animals and beaches.
The lecture series is free. Times are 10:00am-11:00am. Light refreshments will be provided.
November 2, 2018: Sustainable Living – See how you can make changes inside and outside of your house to live a more sustainable lifestyle. Get great tips and simple tricks to incorporate into your everyday life so that you can reduce your negative impacts on the environment.
January 4, 2019: Reptiles – Learn about various reptiles you could encounter here in Northeast Florida. Meet some of our live animals and how they are vital to our surrounding ecosystem
March 1, 2019: Pollinators – Many species are responsible for pollinating our local native plants. Find out which birds, bugs, and more are helping our gardens thrive!
May 3, 2019: Treasures of the Beach – Our East coast beaches are constantly changing and bringing new items up for us to see. Shells, sea beans, grasses, sharks teeth, marine debris; come learn how to identify these items, where they come from, and so much more!
