Living History Saunter

Historically clad interpreters will walk saunter down St. George Street and the historic area in St. Augustine in an effort to share its rich and diverse history. The historians will speak with visitors and residents about St. Augustine’s history dating back to its founding in 1565 with one-on-one personal contact.

Participants wear historically accurate clothing depicting Saint Augustine’s history from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, commonly known as it’s Colonial Period.  Historically accurate clothing helps the interpreters to explain and show the difference between fact and fiction. We encourage the city’s guests to take photographs and ask questions.

Participants will saunter between the hours of 5:30pm to 8:30pm stopping for photos and discussions all throughout the historic district.
