On the first Wednesday of the month, join Curator Barry Myers for the Lightner Museum Curator’s Tour. The monthly tours feature unique and special treasures of the Museum and offer guests an intimate encounter with a select few of the Lightner’s eclectic relics.  On November’s tour, the curator will be discussing the fascinating, beautiful, and sometimes bizarre world of German and Bohemian ceramics and glass. He will also touch on the first European discovery of porcelain, which originated in Germany c. 1710. Until the early 18th century the Chinese held the secret of true porcelain, and had kept it secret for thousands of years.

Tours are included in the price of admission and will begin in the front lobby at 10:00am. Donations are appreciated and will be accepted after the tour.
