Join us Thursday, May 27, 2021 for the La Florida History Event at the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center. Entitled, “Free and Enslaved: Black Society in Spanish Florida, 1513-1821”, the event is a fundraiser for the Museum.
La Florida is the interactive digital archive of the Americas. It has produced original source material that offers users a multi-disciplinary perspective of colonial Florida’s rich history, a history that extends far beyond what we think of as ‘Florida’ today.
The project is continually advancing the documentation of Florida’s heritage. Dr. J. Michael Francis, La Florida Digital Archives Director, will elaborate on their most recent discoveries.
