#1 Billboard Blues Artist Joanne Shaw Taylor and her amazing band will perform at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Sunday, October 22, 2023.
Taylor was discovered by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics at the age of 16 who, having watched her play, invited her on the road with his supergroup D.U.P. A career in music was born. And in the years that followed, Joanne’s incredible guitar playing saw her build an army of plaudits. They include Jimmy Cliff, Joe Bonamassa, Stevie Wonder, and Annie Lennox.
Still only in her 30s, Joanne has become one of the most sought-after guitarists in the world of rock. She released her first album, ‘White Sugar’, in 2009, unleashing her distinct and soulful voice on the world and demonstrating a songwriting prowess way beyond her years.
Over the past two decades, Joanne has proven herself as a prolific songwriter, with each critically acclaimed album more successful than the last. Her 2019 release ‘Reckless Heart’ broke into the UK Top 20 Album Chart, cementing her status as one of the most important exports in British blues-rock. Her highly anticipated eighth studio album, ‘Nobody’s Fool’, was released on October 28, 2022. It features Bonamassa, Dave Stewart, Tina Guo, and Carmen Vandenburg.
Joanne is currently on tour and writing new songs for her next album, due out later this year. It’s a bold slate of material from an artist at the top of her career, bringing her guitar prowess, vocal abilities, and songwriting chops to new heights.
