Historic Timeline Saunter

Join members of the Historic Florida Militia for a Timeline Saunter from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

Meet near the Spanish Bakery & Cafe on St. George Street for this monthly event.  There you’ll find historically clad reenactors.  They “saunter” down St. George Street and the historic area in St. Augustine.   Along the way, they speak with visitors and residents about Saint Augustine’s history dating back to its founding in 1565.

Participants wear historically accurate clothing depicting Saint Augustine’s history from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries.  By wearing period clothing, reenactors can explain and show the difference between fact and fiction more easily.

This is a perfect opportunity to learn about St. Augustine’s history.  Photographs and questions are encouraged.

Free and open to the public.  The event is weather permitting.
