Due to the inclement weather and the Castillo de San Marcos closing Wednesday, September 28, 2022 until conditions are safe – the Historic Timeline Saunter for October 1, 2022 has been cancelled.

Join members of the Historic Florida Militia for a Historic Timeline Saunter from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.  October’s Saunter on the 1st helps kick off the Castillo de San Marcos’ 350th Anniversary Celebration.

Beginning on Aviles Street, re-enactors will saunter to the grounds of the Castillo de San Marcos. Along with members of St. Augustine’s Royal Family, they’ll be dressed in 17th Century garb to honor the Castillo’s ground-breaking in 1672.

This is a perfect opportunity to learn about St. Augustine’s history and to pose for pictures.

Free and open to the public.  The event is weather permitting.
