Join members of the Historic Florida Militia for an 1821 Saunter from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Meet at the Spanish Bakery & Cafe.
Historically clad reenactors “saunter” down St. George Street and the historic area in St. Augustine to Aviles Street. Along the way, they speak with visitors and residents presenting a timeline of St. Augustine’s colonial history.
Participants wear historically accurate clothing depicting Saint Augustine’s history from 1513 to 1784. By wearing period clothing, reenactors can explain and show the difference between fact and fiction more easily.
This is a perfect opportunity to learn about St. Augustine’s history and to pose for pictures.
Free and open to the public. The event is weather permitting.
