Join us at Armstrong Park on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from Noon to 5:00pm for the Gullah Geechee Heritage Festival. Celebrating 450 years of West African influence in St. Johns County! Free and family-friendly!

Featured Performers include:  the Geechee Gullah Ring Shouters from McIntosh County, Georgia; the Nan Nkama Pan-African Drum and Dance Ensemble; Amy Alysia and the Soul Operation; and Doug Carn.

Special guest appearance by Chef Matthew Raiford, author of ‘Bress ‘n’ Nyam: Gullah Geechee Recipes from a Sixth Generation Farmer‘. He’ll do a cooking demonstration and book signing.

Food and beverage available for purchase. That includes SEA Community’s low country boil and selections from Heart and Soul Food Truck.

This event benefits the SEA Community Resource Center.
