SJC Parks & Rec has partnered with FWC Youth Conservation Commission Network following the lesson plans created by them for a Freshwater Fish Camp – Girls.

Please Note: Campers must have completed the 6th grade to attend the camp.

When: July 31 – August 4, 2023 — 9:00am-4:00pm

Where: Trout Creek Park / Porch

Eligible campers receive one rod/reel and a tackle box full of freshwater tackle to use during camp. They can then take home at the end of camp.

Campers Will Learn
* Safe Boat Handling Skills / experiece on the water
* Freshwater Fish ID, habitat knowledge and fish dissection
* Lessons and experience with proper tackle and live bait for fresh water
* Live fish handling skills / different ways to clean a fish for cooking

Cost: $200.00
