Held in conjuction with the Militia Muster, Fort Mose Founders Day takes place on Saturday, April 2, 2022 — 10:00am-12:00pm.
This special event celebrates the Founding of Gracia Real de Santa Teresa de Mose – the first legally sanctioned free Black community in what is now the United States.
The ceremony includes 25th Anniversary Announcements, Spanish Governor Don Manuel de Montiano Speech as well as Francisco Menendez Speech. Interactive program includes Militia / Spanish soldiers & Ladies of Mose re-enactors.
