Evenings at Whitney Lecture Series
This public lecture series includes presentations on current science topics, as well as ongoing research programs at the Whitney lab. The speakers are recognized experts in their fields who welcome questions and discussion.
Octobers’ program is titled “Of Viruses That Cause Cancer, and Genes That Do Not Make Proteins”. Rolf Renne, Ph.D., Professor at the University of Florida, Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, will discuss how human viruses and specifically herpes viruses contribute to a wide range of human cancers.
