EMMA Concert Series presents the Vienna Boys Choir on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 7:30pm. Based in Vienna, Austria, the choir is compromised of boy sopranos and altos. It is one of the best known boys’ choirs in the world!
The choir is the modern-day descendant of the boys’ choirs of the Viennese Court, dating back to the late Middle Ages. The Wiener Hofmusikkapelle was established by Emperor Maximilian I in 1498. Since then, it has evolved into a professional music group that is acclaimed world-wide.
