Join us on June 17, 2023 for Grammy winner Dom Flemons at The Waterworks.  St. Augustine’s Bad Dog Mama (Chelsea Saddler & Lauren Gilliam) open the show.

Co-founder of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, he left the band to pursue his solo career in 2014.  He is now famously known as The American Songster® since his repertoire covers over one hundred years of American roots music.

Flemons is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, music scholar, actor, slam poet, and the creator, host, and producer of American Songster Radio Show on 650 AM WSM in Nashville, TN.  He is an expert player on the banjo, guitar, harmonica, jug, percussion, quills, fife and rhythm bones.

Gamble Rogers Folk Festival and St. Johns Cultural Council have partnered to present this concert.  Celebrating the legendary recording artist Gamble Rogers, whose balladry and storytelling shaped American folk music.  The concert is also an event during Celebrate Juneteenth.

Seating is limited to 100.
