Come to the community Drumming Event on The Commons of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Drumbeat, a group of ten youths from the St. Johns Youth Academy led by Amber Hall, will lead the event. Bring your own percussion instruments or they will be provided to you.

Drumbeat is an acronym for Discovering, Relationships, Using, Music, Beliefs, Emotions, Attitudes and Thoughts. Participants work as a team to set and enforce group boundaries, discuss social issues through rhythm analogies and prepare for group performances.

The event is free and is part of the Romanza “Little Night Music”.
