In commemoration of the many flags that have flown over St. Augustine for more than 450 years, join park staff, volunteers and the St. Augustine Garrison for a Changing of Flags Ceremony. Today we commemorate the 1763 transfer from Spanish control to British rule.

Visitors will see the changing of the guard, the massing of the Spanish and British Troops, the exchange of the keys, and the changing of the flags. The event will be carried out by re-enactors portraying Spanish and British soldiers. Re-enactors dressed in the traditional clothes of the period will also be present representing the townspeople throughout the day.   Event includes musket and cannon firing demonstrations.

Special event times are 11:00am and 2:00pm.  Regular entrance fees apply: $15 Adults 16 and over, $5 Children ages 5-15, Free Children under 5.
