The public is welcome to the Cathedral Parish 454th Anniversary Celebration of the city of St. Augustine and parish’s founding.  The celebration on August 28, the feast day of St. Augustine, begins with solemn vespers at 6:00pm in the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Augustine. Most Rev. Felipe J. Estevez, bishop of the Diocese of St. Augustine, will be principal celebrant and homilist for the service.

At 7:00pm, Kathleen Deagan, PhD, will give the 20th annual Augustinian Address in the Bishop Baker Parish Center, 267 St. George St., next to Cathedral Parish School. Her topic is “Catholic Life and Death in Spanish St. Augustine: A View from Archaeology.”
