Join us at Fort Mose Historic State Park on Saturday, June 25, 2022 for the Battle of Bloody Mose reenactment. Re-enactors depict the 1740 Spanish victory at Fort Mose forcing the British to retreat from Spanish Florida.
Spanish soldiers, Fort Mose militia and Yamassee warriors surprised the British in an early morning attack. They quickly reclaimed Fort Mose through a fierce display of force, hence the title of “The Battle of Bloody Mose”.
