Join us at the Fort Matanzas visitor center on September 15th for Bark in the Park to learn how to have your dog become a B.A.R.K. Ranger (B-bag your own poop, A-always wear a leash, R-respect wildlife, K- know where you can go). There will be two activity times; one at 10:00am and one at 11:00am. We’ll be taking a guided nature walk around the park at each activity time. There will be a veterinarian talking about dog health and safety in the outdoors and an Audubon Volunteer talking about the potential impacts dogs can have on wildlife.
Participants will need a 6′ leash for your dog, water, and a bag for picking up droppings. Don’t forget sunblock and mosquito protection too.
If you would like to join us for one of the activity times, please call ahead as space is limited to 25 dogs per time period; 904-471-0116. The last date to make a reservation is September 14 by 4:30pm.
