The July Artist of the Month at Butterfield Garage is photographer Tina Henle. Come meet Tina and view a collection of her thought-provoking work during First Friday Art Walk July 6th from 5:00pm-9:00pm.  At 600pm, Tina will be presenting Artist Talk, an opportunity to understand Tina’s unique approach to photographing her subjects.  Her work will be on display for all of July.

Photography has always been a part of Tina’s life. She was raised in a family where art and travel were the centerpiece of focus. Her father, Fritz Henle was a preeminent photographer and she acquired her first camera from him at the age twelve. She grew up on the island of St. Croix and traveled to Europe with her family in the summers. In 1984 she received a BA in Art and Anthropology from the University of New Mexico and worked and mentored with her father throughout the 1980’s. She has exhibited in numerous group and solo shows in the Caribbean and the US.

Butterfield Garage Gallery, an artist-run gallery with 30 artist members, is open 11:00am-5:00pm daily.  For information call 904-825-4577.
