Gather at Alpine Groves Park for the Annual River Blessing 2023 on Saturday, January 28 from 9:00am-11:00am. Free and open to the public.

Honoring the water of earth who all life depends on. Started in 2008 by Basil Braveheart, an elder of the Lakota Nation who visited Florida.

River Keepers will speak about their personal connection to the rivers / waters in Florida.  Followed by a silent, non-denominational ceremony of passing the bowl of water around for each participant to touch, guided by a heartbeat drum inspired by First Nations.

The ceremony concludes by silently walking to the river leading with the drum and returning the water back to its’ home.
