Celebrate National Poetry Month with the Ancient City Poets Virtual Open Mic event. This unique group is a loosely knit patchwork of poets who gather on the last Sunday afternoon of each month to host a free community open mic reading.
During this time of social distancing, the local poetry community has moved to an online platform to share their written words. Poets of all skill levels are offered an opportunity to share their poems with a loving and supportive audience.
Join them on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 3:00pm online via zoom. At that time, the host will ask who would like to have their name on the list. Readers will be called to the “podium” in the order their names appear on the list. The first 15 readers will be guaranteed a spot at the mic.
All are encouraged to share their own poems or the poems of their favorite writers as we celebrate National Poetry Month and Poem in Your Pocket Day (Thursday, April 30th).
