Alt-metal band Alice In Chains will be on stage at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on October 26, 2018. Along with Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, Alice In Chains was one of the Big Four to emerge from Seattle in the 1990s and went on to change the sound of modern rock. In many ways, Alice In Chains was the definitive heavy metal band of the early ’90s. Drawing equally from the heavy riffing of post-Van Halen metal and the gloomy strains of post-punk, the band developed a bleak, nihilistic sound that balanced grinding hard rock with subtly textured acoustic numbers.
Over the course of their remarkable career, they’ve garnered multiple Grammy nominations, sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and amassed a diehard international fan base whose members number in the millions. Alice In Chains remain one of the most successful and influential American rock bands of all time and are currently gearing up for the release of a much anticipated new album.
