Akia Uwanda McDaniel performs as one of the headliners for this years’ Romanza Festivale.  She’ll be at the Lewis Auditorium/Flager College on Sunday, May 7, 2023 — 4:00pm-5:30pm.

A Jacksonville native, Akia is a multi-talented entertainer who is classically and experimentally trained.

Ms. Uwanda has opened for Earth, Wind and Fire and Avery Sunshine as well as shared the stage with jazz greats, Gregory Porter and Kamasi Washington.  She has performed at venues such as the Four Seasons Hotel in Houston and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
