A Classic Theatre presents Sylvia, a modern romantic comedy about a marriage and a dog; select dates in March at The Waterworks.

Written by A.R. Gurney, he notes the play has a “timely message of the need to connect in an increasingly alien and impersonal world. ‘There is a need to connect, not only to a dog but to other people through the dog.'”

A street-smart mixture of Lab and poodle, Sylvia becomes a major bone of contention between husband and wife. She offers Greg an escape from the frustrations of his job and the unknowns of middle age. To Kate, Sylvia becomes a rival for affection. Sylvia is sure to work her way into your heart.

Cast: Joseph Stearman as Greg, Jessica Racaniello as Kate, David Abraham plays 3 different characters, and Cameron Maxwell is in the title role of Sylvia.

This production is being presented in collaboration with SAFE animal rescue to bring awareness to rescuing dogs and cats and saving them from being euthanized.
