During the Wednesday Brown Bag Lunch program, join the Friends of the Main Library for a sneak peek at the upcoming Florida Heritage Book Festival! Dr. Jim Wilson will give a preview of some of the exciting authors and events featured at the annual three-day book festival. He’ll also tell us about the Critique Workshop and special Stetson Kennedy event with the Young Minds Readers Theater and a conversation with Dr. Peggy A. Bulger and Dr. Ben Brotemarkle.
Since 2008, the festival has attracted more than 200 nationally-known authors and writers to its annual panel discussions, book signings, and writers conference. Held the 2nd weekend in September, this year’s lineup includes free presentations by Susanna Daniels, Doris Weatherford, Nancy Bartholomew, Dr. James Denham, Andre Frattino, Michael Morris, Prudence Farrow Bruns, H. Terrell Griffin, Johnny Heller, Roger Smith, Susan Carol McCarthy, Lu Vickers, Deborah Sharp, Brendan Burke, Dianne Ochiltree, Roy Peter Clark, Marisella Veiga, Bruce Thomason, Katy Kelly, Peter and Jeanne Clark Meinke, Craig Pittman, Jeff Newberry, Christina Farley, Amy Christine Parker, Vivi Barnes, Robin Lippincott, John Henry Fleming, Joe Gisondi, John Clement, and Adrian Fogelin.
This program is free and open to the public. Seating is limited! Doors open at Noon / Program begins at 12:30pm. Patrons are welcome to bring their lunch. Light refreshments will be provided.
