Upstairs/Downstairs at the Alcazar Tours are in-depth, behind-the-scenes tours that are part of a program companion series to the Lightner Museum’s exhibition: Dressing Downton: Changing Fashions for Changing Times Exhibit. The history of the Lightner Museum, as well as its’ former splendor as the Alcazar Hotel, shows many parallels to the time period and lives of the characters of the popular television series Downton Abbey®. Learn what life was like for both guests and staff who visited and worked at the Alcazar Hotel during the Gilded Age in St. Augustine. Explore areas of the museum typically closed to the public for this intimate and historical experience.
$45 per person / Tour last approximately one hour / Limited to 10 per tour. Reservations must be made in advance. This tour is recommended for adults only. Please note, this tour does not include entrance to the Dressing Downton’ exhibition.
