The St. Augustine Amphitheatre proudly welcomes rousing, “American Red Dirt” country rock band The Turnpike Troubadours to the Backyard Stage. If Turnpike Troubadours are playing in your town, you’ll know it. A block or two from the venue, you’ll see the crowds lining up. Get closer and you’ll start to hear the music — rockin’ hard, lashed by burnin’ fiddle and guitar, maybe a little rough on the edges but with a deep-rooted soul that’s impossible to resist. And if you make it through the door, you’ll witness one of the best shows you’ll ever see.
They’ve been described by CMT.com as “A gritty, country-leaning roots rock band out of Oklahoma, The Turnpike Troubadours at their best synthesize the populist, political folk of Woody Guthrie and the outlaw-styled honky tonk of Waylon Jennings with doses of bluegrass, Cajun, and straight-out rock dynamics”.
Doors 7:00pm / Show 8:00pm
Visit the Amphitheatre website for additional information and to purchase tickets. Tickets can also be purchased at their box office and at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall box office.
