The Collector Luxury Inn & Gardens, the first luxury accommodation of its kind in St. Augustine, is offering an exclusive, weekly open house preview Monday-Saturday from 3pm-5pm through January 31st.
Inspired by the spirit of St. Augustine with the goal of preserving historic touchstones of America’s oldest city, The Collector features a set of nine buildings repurposed from historic houses dating back to 1790. Located at the site of the former Dow Museum of Historic Houses, the property encompasses an entire block.
Visitors will enjoy a wine and cheese reception and a private tour of one of the seven guest houses and grounds, taking in the property’s modern Spanish and southern coastal styles and museum-quality décor from the Dow collection of antiques. They can peek into the guest rooms, many of which feature a separate living room, balcony or porch, fireplace and artwork from Kenneth Dow’s personal collection.
As a special token, open house guests will receive a “key” to The Collector before departing, which extends a complimentary drink at The Well upon return when The Collector opens its doors this spring. The Collector will begin accepting reservations beginning March 2017.
