The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach will honor Literacy Month by hosting a storytelling. Participants will learn about the life of James Gamble Rogers IV. Author Bruce Horovitz is currently writing a biography of the late singer and storyteller James Gamble Rogers IV. Join us as he leads a storytelling program with excerpts from his book about the remarkable life of Gamble Rogers and how he impacted the history of this State Park by becoming its namesake. All ages are welcome, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Reservations are not required, but notification of participation is requested. The cost of each event is included in the regular park entrance fee of $5.00 per carload of two to eight people, $4.00 for one person in a car and $2.00 per pedestrian or bicyclist.
